Abstract
This article examines a methodology for teaching sketching in the course “Engineering and Computer Graphics” based on the application of modern digital technologies. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to improve the quality of graphical training for engineering students in the context of educational digitalization. The aim of the research is to develop and experimentally verify the effectiveness of a sketching instruction methodology using AutoCAD and SolidWorks software. The study employed theoretical, empirical, and statistical methods, including a pedagogical experiment involving control and experimental groups. The results demonstrated that the use of modern technologies contributes to the development of students’ spatial thinking, improves the accuracy of sketch execution, and increases learning motivation. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of implementing the proposed methodology in the educational process of technical higher education institutions.
